Football for “WASH” Project

A project launched in 2012 where KYFA, in partnership with KNVB and other organizations, uses football as an entry point to improve Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in selected schools. F4WASH integrates Football and Life Skills with an initiative that aims at ensuring improved Sanitation and Hygiene, within schools as well as the general public.

The KNVB supported project looks to train over 740,000 School going children within Ghana, Kenya and Mozambique. KYFA further hosted a training course of Worldcoaches in both Football and Life Skills Education to 2 teachers of each of the 32 Primary schools selected for the project. The Worldcoaches conduct at least one F4WASH training session per week in their respective schools, with an average of 40 children/pupils per session.
